Dr. Jeremy Tubbs

Dr. Jeremy Tubbs

is a General Practitioner and co-owner of Millwood Animal Hospital with his wife Dr. Daniela Goldman since June of 2011.

A native of Kaufman, Texas, Dr. Tubbs says that one of his earliest influences was growing up on his family’s small farm. “We always had cattle, chickens, and raised a few pigs as well,” he says. “Raising animals for reasons other than companionship and working on the farm both helped build a strong connection to animals and helped create a strong work ethic.”

Another early influence was his first dog. “I got Rufus, a Yellow Lab, when I was a young boy of about seven or eight,” Dr. Tubbs says. “He was never phased by anything—aural hematomas, bitten by a water moccasin, kicked by a cow—and yet he was always there for me, like a rock. I admired him and think of him any time I see a Yellow Lab.”

For his undergraduate studies, Dr. Tubbs attended Texas A&M University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science in 2002. A year later, he enrolled at Ross University’s School of Veterinary Medicine with a year of clinical studies at Texas A&M University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. His areas of special professional interest include ultrasound and surgery. He is also a member of the New York State Veterinary Medical Society, American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Westchester-Rockland Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Tubbs and Dr. Goldman—who met their first day of veterinary school—have three boys, Eli, Nathaniel, and Seth, and provide a home for a mixed breed named Chewy, a border collie named Shadow and two cats named Hanna and Teddy. His interests include working out, playing with his son and following the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers.
